This wall hanging was created to be the
Western themed centerpiece in Fun To Sew's sales booth at the 2008 OKC
Winter Quilt Show.
Most of my quilts are original designs, but
time was limited so we found this great pattern from
Bigfork Bay
Cotton Company designed by Toni Whitney.
The pattern is designed for raw-edge
appliqué using fusible web.
I wanted quilting lines that very precisely
followed the outlines of all the appliqué pieces, so all of the quilting
was done with straight-stitch and pivoting rather than free-motion. Each
piece was quilted with a matching Sulky Blendables thread.
